My game group, deadweight studios just released our first game, gShift. -I- am doing all the promotion, so I have been preoccupied. I did listen to Skyzoo - The Salvation, and it was a pretty solid album. Good tracks, good sounds. A fantastic skit that leads into the track "Under Pressure", and an overall great album sound. A deeper analysis escapes me, as I'm a bit under the Conjure. :)

Weeks 7, 8, 9 coming in quick succession.

Stay Frosty,

Well weeks 4 and 5 had to bleed together, between my mind-state not being right, some family things, as well as this deadweight game barreling towards completion and the weight dropping more heavily on my shoulders every day, I just haven't been focusing on myself much.

Week 4 - Attack & Rease
I didn't listen to a lot of Attack & Release, but the content was pretty solid. The music is somewhat bland, nothing specatcular about it that makes it stand out, but from what I did listen, the lyrical content is above average. Over-all, I wouldn't recommend the album per se, but if you enjoy more mellow rock, give it a once-over. I'd say borrow it before buying so you don't waste your money if you don't like it.

Week 5 - W.A.R. (We Are Renegades)
From the Idris Elba opening describing a truth about the war in Afghanistan found in the future, sent back as a warning, I was hooked. As with any Monch album, this is a lyrical powerhouse. The beats are crisp and clean, and the whole thing falls into my favorite type of album - concept. Watching this video of a live performance of Clap, I got an even better of the concept behind the album. The samples used and the overall production and composition of the album is fantastic. A must buy for all fans of good lyrical content. Monch is one of the many Hip-Hop artists that sticks to the roots of the art form of Rap. The pen is the ammo to my automatic gun...

Week 5 is going to be Skyzoo - The Salvation.

Stay frosty,
Dalibor
